Information and jewelry care instructions
Silver jewelry
Our jewelry is made of high-quality 925 sterling silver. The name "925 sterling silver" comes from the composition of the silver alloy. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. This alloy was chosen because it is more durable and malleable than pure silver, which is too soft to be used in jewelry.
Our jewelry does not contain nickel. The ear hooks are also nickel-free.
The jewelry is surface-treated to slow down tarnishing. However, all silver jewelry will tarnish over time. This is a natural chemical reaction that occurs when silver is exposed to substances in the air, on the skin and in fabrics, for example. However, you can take good care of your jewelry. Take off your jewelry when washing, cleaning, bathing, sauna and swimming, for example. Always put on your jewelry last, after applying makeup, perfume and hair products.
When you are not wearing your jewelry, store it in a closed container, such as a jewelry box or minigrip bag. Note, also store the jewelry separately from other silver jewelry, individually. Different silver jewelry together can accelerate tarnishing, and the jewelry can rub against each other and get scratched. Silver is a soft material and scratches easily.
You can brighten tarnished silver jewelry with a silver cleaner or a silver cleaning cloth. Then rinse the jewelry with plenty of water. You can simply clean the jewelry with, for example, dishwashing liquid. Make a dishwashing liquid/water mixture and let the jewelry soak in the mixture for a while, then rinse with plenty of warm water and dry the jewelry gently.
Bronze jewelry
Our bronze jewelry is made from an alloy of copper and tin. The alloy contains 94% copper and 6% tin. Bronze jewelry also darkens over time. Bronze jewelry is protected against darkening. The chains and clasps of jewelry cannot be protected, so they can darken faster than the rest of the jewelry. The protective surface wears away over time, which is why it is also recommended to remove the jewelry from bronze jewelry , e.g. when washing, cleaning, bathing, sauna and swimming.
Bronze jewelry can be easily cleaned at home with mild soapy water, just like silver jewelry.
The bronze jewelry does not contain nickel. The earring hooks are made of surgical steel.
